Santa Drinks Reds, Obviously!

See! Santa is drinking red

Oh the season of giving is upon us!  Some of you may be thinking that you need to rein in your trips out to wineries in lieu of shopping for that perfect gift. I’d suggest that you should take that relaxing ride out to a North Texas winery or distillery, and tick off two “to-dos” while you’re there. 1. Really get into the spirit of the season and 2. Find that perfect gift or two (or more!). Here are some of my suggestions for awesome gifts no matter who you’re buying for!

  1. A Red River Rides gift certificate – You knew it!

Of course I’m going to suggest this, but really, it is the perfect gift! We have $100 or $250 options on our site now, but we can make a gift certificate in any amount or experience. Give the gift of time and relaxation. Who doesn’t need both of those?!

  1. A stay at 4R Ranch Winery & Vineyards or the guest house at Blue Ostrich Winery

This gift is a luxe option for sure! Not because of the price but because of what you’re giving- A unique, one-of-a-kind gift that’s sure to bring tidings of comfort and joy.

  1. A wine-inspired tee from Arché

Perhaps a more traditional option, Arché has some fun, soft tees with witty sayings inspired by making wine. These are not just stylish; they’re great conversation starters too. You know, to help other wine lovers find you!

  1. A bottle of wine

Duh! A bottle of wine makes a great hostess gift or really a great gift for anyone. All of the North Texas wineries have incredible wines. So it will be easy to find the perfect one. I have my favorites like Eden Hill’s Montepulciano, Caudalie Crest’s Malbec, Hidden Hangar’s Cabernet Franc, and 4R’s Effervesce, but you should definitely consider your tasting to be gift-buying research.

Shopping small feels even more important these days, and a gift purchased from a North Texas winery or distillery IS shopping at a small business. You’re guaranteed to find something special on your trip to the wineries, and your purchase helps to sustain the artisans and entrepreneurs in the North Texas Wine Region.

Happy Holidays, Y’all!
